WALLINGFORD - Lenora E. (Wetmore) Amero, 74, of Cheshire and formerly of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Paul J. Wettemann and Clyde J. Amero, departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at her residence. Lenora was born on August 20, 1937 in West Haven, CT daughter of the late Leroy and Alice (Bamford) Wetmore. She was employed as LPN at the Regency House for many years and later retired from Principal Financial Group. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and very active within the Elim Park Community. She will be greatly missed by her daughter: Bernadette Amero Persico and her husband Jason of Terryville. Two sisters: Leona Gordon and husband Walter of Wallingford, and Laura Moran and husband George of Meriden in addition to three grandchildren: Sarah J. Weaver, Paul J. Wettemann III, and Jovani Dion Persico. She is preceded in death by her son: Paul J. Wettemann II and a two sisters: Lauretta Sawallich and Lorraine Cuomo. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, November 8th from 4 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford, CT 06492. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 9th at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamden.
