MERIDEN - Richard Anthony Prostano, Sr., 56, of Meriden, departed this life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. Richard was born on June 6, 1955, in Meriden, CT, the son of the late Anthony and Jane (Capper) Prostano. He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and was employed as an Assistant Parts Manager at Toyota of Wallingford. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, enjoyed participating in a bowling league with his son and was a motorcycle enthusiast . He had been a drummer with the band Cheers. He will be sadly missed by his children who loved him dearly, his "little peanut", Nichole Marie Prostano and Richard Anthony Prostano Jr., both of Wallingford; and his aunt, Linda Prostano and Erica of Branford. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
