Dear Hanks family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Even though I did not know your son personally I wanted to offer my condolences since I know how hard it can be to lose a loved one in death, especially someone so young. My family and I had to deal with the loss of a young family member also. What helped us through that time was the comfort we had from each other, but also the comfort we found in the scriptures. One verse I enjoyed was John 5:28, 29 because it tells us that there will be a time when, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out… to a resurrection," and have a chance to live again. At first it may seem farfetched, but so many promises in the Bible have already come true. I thought it very encouraging to know that God does not forget about our loved ones that have fallen asleep in death. That verse really helped my family and I hope it helps yours also.
Sincerely,
Candace T.
