George William Bolt, 92, of Wallingford, departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of Evelyn (Toothe) Bolt. George was born on February 13, 1919, in New Haven, a son of the late George D. Bolt. George served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He had been a longtime member of the Wallingford Grange and had barbecued the chicken at the fair for over 35 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed photography and loved to travel. He had purchased an RV at 80 years old and traveled across the country with his wife Evelyn. In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Heather Bolt of Malden, MA; a brother, Burton E. Bolt and his wife Rene of Santa Barbara, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, October 10, 2011 at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at the In Memoriam Cemetery.
