WALLINGFORD - Rita Marie LeBel Gervais, 88, of Wallingford, beloved wife of Raymond J. Gervais, departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Regency House in Wallingford. Rita was born on November 28, 1922 in Canada, daughter of the late Mathieu and Marie (Raymond) LeBel. Rita was a nurses aid for more than 25 years until her retirement at the World War II Veterans Memorial Hospital in Meriden. She was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She will be remembered most as a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 67 years Raymond J. Gervais of Wallingford. She also leaves her seven children: Allen Gervais of Wallingford, Paul Gervais of Meriden, Roland Gervais of Wallingford, Donald Gervais of Wallingford, Pamela Rule of Trumbull, Kenneth Gervais of Colombia, and Mark Gervais of Wallingford in addition to 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond LeBel. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, September 26th from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27th at 11:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. Laurent's Cemetery in Meriden.
