Obituary of Nadine Huntley Drost
WALLINGFORD - Nadine Huntley Drost, 89, of the Masonic Healthcare Center departed this life Monday, July 25, 2011. She was the wife of the late Joseph Drost.
She was born in the Black Hall section of Old Lyme on July 30, 1921 a daughter of the late William and Mary Mareau Huntley.
Until her retirement was work on the assembly line at Unimax Switch. She was a member of St. Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church in Wallingford and was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the Huntley National Association.
Nadine is survived by two sons, Richard Drost and his wife Maria Luisa of Arlington, VA and Robert Drost and his wife Linda of Meriden; three grandchildren, Andrea Drost Garcia and her husband Ruben of Alexandria, VA, Glendon Drost of Frankfurt, Germany and Ian Drost of Meriden; two great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Florence Drost Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence Huntley and Paul Huntley and a sister, Jeanette Lee .
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church, 240 Quinnipiac Ave., Wallingford. Burial will be at St. Casimir's Cemetery, Wallingford. Friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. It is suggested that gifts in her memory be made to St. Casimir's Polish National Church or the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037 or online at www.alzct.org. The family would like to thank the staff of Masonic Healthcare Center?s Wooster Two for all of their care and kindness to Nadine. The B.C.
