WATERBURY - John Byron Noll, 78, of Waterbury formerly of New Haven, beloved husband of Mary (Lavoie) Noll, departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Vitas Hospice in Waterbury. John was born on February 17, 1933 in New Haven, son of the late Dr. John Byron Noll Sr. and Jennie (Nonn) Noll. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Machinist with Eric & Cowell. In his spare time he was an avid NASCAR fan and assembling World War II airplane models. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary Noll of Waterbury. Two sons: Byron Joseph Noll and his wife Maria of Branford, Earl H. Gray III and his wife Susan of MA. A daughter, Suzanne Casanova of Waterbury. He also leaves two sisters: Janet Pierson and her husband Bud of CA, and Joanne Tursek and her husband Don of Northford, a daughter-in-law, Beth Gray of Branford, along with 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son James Gray. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, July 21st from 1:00 pm - 3:00pm at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm on Thursday. Interment will be private and in Beaverdale Cemetery.
