Obituary of Michelle Anne Heineman
WALLINGFORD - Michelle Anne Heineman (Regan) passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 with her loving husband and daughters by her side. Michelle was born September 25, 1964 in Groton. She graduated Fitch High School in Groton, and later obtained a degree in finance from the University of Connecticut. Michelle worked for the State of Connecticut as a fiscal officer with the Department of Corrections and later as a Fiscal Assistant Manager at the Department of Banking. During her twenty years with the state, Michelle took ten years off to raise her daughters, whom she loved wholly and completely and were the center of her life. Michelle volunteered at Catechism on Saturdays and was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection. Michelle loved dogs and her pets Mittens, Maggie, Hudson and Rory were always a great joy for her. The capriciousness and cruelty of cancer is evident in all the sorrow and sadness that comes with Michelle's passing.
She is survived by her loving husband, Martin Regan, and THE LIGHTS OF HER LIFE - her daughters Amanda Regan of Branchville, NJ, Katie, April and Emily Regan. She is also survived by her stepfather John Stacey of Ledyard, her brother William Heineman, his wife Merri, and their children Rachel, Hallie, Peter, Hannah, Rose, Natalie, and Natalie's daughter Bella and her brother Thomas Heineman and his wife Chieko and their children Casay and Nora. Her beloved sister Diane Beaudry sadly predeceased her. Diane's husband Kenneth Beaudry and his partner Kathleen Murphy, along with Ken and Diane's children Ryan Beaudry, Amanda Beaudry, and Jaclyn Beaudry mourn her passing. Her beloved mother Barbara Heineman and her father Warren Heineman also predeceased Michelle. We as a family would like to thank all our neighbors and friends and coworkers and family for their love and support during this time. Also, the doctors and nurses at Saint Francis Cancer Center and the CT Hospice nurses from the Wallingford office. A very heartfelt thank you to Debbie from St. Francis, you are truly a miracle, and Elizabeth from Hospice, your compassion is boundless. Heineman, I love you. You are always my best friend.
A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20th at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Friends are invited to call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford on Thursday, May 19th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
