WALLINGFORD - Charles "Michael" Brosnan, 62, of Wallingford, beloved son of the late Charles and Ruth (Backes) Brosnan, departed this life on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Michael was born on May 21, 1948 in New Haven. He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School class of 1966. He later attended Quinnipiac University and transferred to Middlesex Community College. He will be sadly missed by his siblings: Tom Brosnan of Bonifay, FL, Chris Brosnan and his wife Sue of Wallingford, and Katie Brosnan-Velez and her husband Oswaldo of Meriden. He also leaves his nieces and nephews: Amy Brosnan of the United States Navy, Peter Brosnan of the United States Airforce, Patrick Brosnan of Simsbury, Kimberlee Brosnan of Wallingford, and Michael Charles Velez of Meriden. Relatives and friends may call during a joint visitation for his mother Ruth and himself on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will follow for both Ruth and Michael at 11:00 AM on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery privately. The family wishes to extend a very special thanks to the staff of the Masonic Healthcare Center for their years of loving care given to Michael.
