Stephen Gerald Riggott (71), previously of Port Saint Lucie Florida, recently of Wallingford, CT, departed peacefully away at Midstate Medical, Meriden, CT on January 22, 2011, with his loving family by his side. Stephen was born September 10, 1939 in New Haven, CT, son of the late Stephen Jerry & Marion Anna (Janaitis) Riggott. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country with the American Land Forces Middle-East in Lebanon. Stephen worked for Allied Vanlines, New Haven, CT as a truck driver and in shipping and receiving at Butson�s/Shaws Supermarkets in Woodsville, NH, until his retirement. Stephen and his loving wife (predeceased) Geraldine Breymayer-Riggott were active members of the New Apostolic Church in Vermont, Florida and Connecticut. He will be sadly missed by his son, Stephen G. Riggott, Jr (wife Lisa Driscoll Riggott) of Wallingford, daughter Martha Santiago Riggott of Ansonia, Virginia Riggott of West Haven, step-daughters Jeralynn Clark of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Gail Dufresne (husband Robert) of Okeechobee, FL; and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in his name to: Special Olympics, Team West Haven, Inc. 159 David Street, West Haven, CT 06516. Burial with military honors at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery and a memorial service will be held in the spring at a date to be announced. Arrangements are by B.C.
