James Edward Dowd IV, 22, of Wallingford, departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2011 peacefully in his sleep at his home. James was born on January 6, 1989, in Meriden, CT, the beloved son of Karen (Langa) Dowd of Wallingford and James and Jennifer Dowd of Colchester. Jim was well known by his friends and family for his sense of humor. He was an avid outdoors-man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. He took great joy spending time with his family and was a musician who played the guitar. In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his brother Christopher of Wallingford; his grandparents, James and Shirley Dowd of East Haddam; his longtime girlfriend Nicole Lipsie of Wallingford, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Barbara Langa. Relatives and friends may call on THURSDAY, January 13, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on FRIDAY, January 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima, 382 Hope Hill Rd., Wallingford.
