Joyce Meagher, 77, of Wallingford, departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2011 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden in the presence of her dear friend Doris Cayes and her niece Joanne Notar with whom she lived. Joyce was born on July 27, 1933, in Meriden, CT, a daughter of the late George and Matilda (Schonn) Meagher. Joyce was a veteran of the U.S. Army and previous to her retirement, she had been employed by Cuno Industries of Meriden and International Silver of Meriden. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and her friend Sharon Shailor of Meriden. She is preceded in death by her five brothers: Thomas, John, Joseph, Edward, and Henry Meagher; and two sisters, Rose Atkins and Elizabeth Notar; and her friend Kay Chamberlain.
