WALLINGFORD - Francis "Frank" French, 82, of Wallingford and formerly of Concord, NH, departed this life on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Francis was born on July 5, 1928, in Carmel, ME, son of the late John and Verna (Sumner) French. He worked for more than 25 years for United Technologies in quality assurance which took him to Israel and the Middle East for several years. He was a Mason for more than 50 years with the Horace Chace Lodge in Concord, New Hampshire. In his spare time Francis was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing. He will be sadly missed by his children: Bonnie Mallon of Naples, FL, Sonja Haley of Wallingford, and Doug French and his wife Michele of Loxahatche, FL. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Giggey and two brothers, John and Clayton French. A celebration of Francis' life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2 PM at Traditions Country Club, 37 Harrison Road, Wallingford, CT 06492. The B. C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford is handling arrangements.
