Nancy Semrau, nee Underwood left us on November 17, 2010. Nancy was born January 10, 1936 in New London. She grew up in Meriden, and lived in Wallingford most of her adult life. She was predeceased by her husband Warren Semrau, and her brother, Jay Underwood. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dolbec-Turcotte, her son, David Householder, her two granddaughters, Mandy Householder and Marjorie Turcotte, and one great-granddaughter, Laylyah Tyler. She is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Lucille Underwood, her nephew and two nieces and many friends. Nancy had a rare talent. She was a compassionate caregiver for the elderly, especially those with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Her proudest accomplishment was starting college in her fifties and earning her B.S. in social work. Her passing leaves a hole in many lives. There will be no calling hours.
