WALLINGFORD - Susan M. Snedeker, 63, of Wallingford, beloved wife of 45 years of Jim Snedeker, departed this life on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Mid-State Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born on June 7, 1947 in Meriden, daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Czegledi) Tanch. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and Mema. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting and ceramics and of course her numerous visits to the Christmas Tree Shop. She will be sadly missed by her husband Jim of Wallingford and her three daughters Christine D'Avanzo of Wallingford, Brandi Little and her husband Fred of Northford, and Kari Snedeker of Jewett City. She also leaves a sister, Eleanor LeTourneau and her husband Godfrey of Wallingford along with a brother, Louis S. Tanch and his wife Lillian of Wallingford. She leaves six beloved grandchildren: Flaviano, Maegan, Chloe, James, Grace, and Freddie and several nieces and nephews along with her best friend and mother-in-law Lorraine Stanford of East Haven. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, November 4th from 4 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 5th at 10 AM at Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
