WALLINGFORD � Mirium Brodsky, departed this life on October 26th 2010, at age 96 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was born in Wallingford and she lived most of her life there. In her early 20�s she lived in Hartford and worked as a sales girl in a department store. She married Harold Brodsky and moved to Ft. Bragg North Carolina when Harold entered the Army during World War II. After the war she lived in New Haven and ultimately settled in Wallingford. She did volunteer work for the American Red Cross for much of her adult life. After losing Harold, she retired to Boca Raton, Florida and returned to Ashlar Village at Masonicare in Wallingford about five years ago. She maintained a membership in Beth Israel Synagogue in Wallingford throughout her life. Her husband Harold, to whom she was married for over 50 years, preceded her in death by 17 years. She is survived by her children Michael and Barbara, grandchildren Alyssa and Jason and daughter-in-law Cheryl. She was much loved and will be missed by all those who knew her. A memorial service will be held graveside at Beth Israel Cemetery, Dudley Avenue Wallingford, CT. on Friday October 29th at 10:00A.M. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
