WALLINGFORD - Gabriel J. Fekete, 99, beloved husband of Deborah (Dobson) Fekete, departed this life on October 2, 2010, at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Gabriel was born on May 30, 1911 in Wallingford, CT, son of the late Gabriel and Mary (Kobling) Fekete. He retired in 1972 after a long career as a Foreman with International Silver Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallingford and a 65 year Mason and Shriner and a member of Compass Lodge #9 and Pyramid Temple.In his spare time Gabriel was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing the trumpet. He will be sadly missed by his wife Deborah of Wallingford and his children: Geraldine Aldridge and her husband William of Palm Desert, CA, Marilyn Florentino and her husband Anthony of Shelton and Doug Fekete and his wife Laura of Wallingford. He also leaves a brother, E. William Fekete of Wallingford in addition to seven grandchildren, John and Matthew DeBarbieri, Dustin and Heather Aldridge, and Kimberly, Christopher and Valerie Fekete and one great grandson Marcus Gabriel DeBarbieri. He is preceded in death by his brothers George and Michael Fekete and his sister Jenny Chatary and Mary Biro. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 4 - 7 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 6th at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. Interment will follow at Center Street Cemetery.
