WALLINGFORD - Elizabeth (Betty) Mason, 89, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2016. She was the wife of the late Arnold S. Mason, Sr. She was born in Kew Gardens, L.I., NY on September 22, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Louise Schmidt Rogers. She was a member of the Mizpah Chapter #37, O.E.S., and was a volunteer with Masonicare. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Arnold S. Mason, Jr. (Janis) of Wethersfield, and Howard W. Mason (Lynn) of Madison, one sister Theresa Throwe of Niantic, five grandchildren: Matthew Mason and his wife Alexa, Michael Mason and his wife Lauren of Glastonbury, David Mason and his girlfriend Megan Gallo of Wethersfield, and Erin and Daniel Mason of Madison, as well as a great-grandson Dylan Mason. She also leaves a beloved sister-in-law Ann Mason, special nieces Brooke Mason and Kelly Winsky, and a nephew Scott Throwe. She was predeceased by a sister, Louise Manion. Her family was the greatest joy in her life. Her gentle and kind spirit made her beloved by all who knew her. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the caring staff on Ramage 3 at Masonicare.
