WALLINGFORD � Carole Lee Kingsbury McGucken, 67, of Center Street departed this life on May 31, 2010 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of Matthew McGucken for 46 years. Carole was born in Mars Hill, ME on January 28, 1943. She was a graduate of the Grace New Haven School of Nursing and had worked as a registered nurse. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed by her son, Matthew McGucken, Jr. and his wife Gina; her daughters Lisa Catala and her husband Steven and Moira McMahon and her husband Tim; grandsons Shayne Catala and Ryan, Aidan and Colin McGucken; granddaughters Kerri Catala and Riley and Sydney McMahon; a brother; Alan Kingsbury; a sister, Karyn McGucken and her husband Bryan;a special sister, Linda Sheehan; and four nephews; special family in England; friends Paul, Rachel and Diane Lanford and Cathy Shaw. She was predeceased by her father, Elwood Kingsbury and a brother, Kerry Mastroianni. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4th at 10:00 AM at the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at the In Memoriam Cemetery of Wallingford.
