Gramps,
I love and miss you very much, and im glad I had the chance to tell you that before you started on your journey home. I have alot of fond memories of you and I together. The best ones were our Saturday Dunkin Donuts runs I use to do for you and Grams. I also enjoyed those days we would sit down and talk, and you would tell me about the"special day" you brought me home from the hospital.
Gramps you were a fighter, and you promised me you were going to fight, and that you did untill the very end.
You taught me a lot in life.
You always told me to never give up the fight, even if the battle was tough. You also told me to stick by my family, because thats all thats really there in the end. Im thankful to have known you and to have had you as my Grandfather.
Gramps as your final days where here you and I spent alot of time together. I'll never forget our time together Sunday night. I told you I loved you very much and you squeezed my hand and lifted it. I then realized you knew I was really there with you. I will never forget that night for the rest of my life.
Please watch over Grams,Dad,Mom, and me.
OK im not going to be one of those people down here who are going to be crying because you returned home. Gramps raise hell up there like you did down here. "BIG RED ONE"
Love always,
Your Laurie
