Obituary of Charles Sullivan

WALLINGFORD - Charles Sullivan, Sr., 87, of Wallingford, entered into rest on March 30, 2010 at the West Haven VA. He was the loving husband of Catherine Flood Sullivan. He was born in New Haven, June 23, 1922 a son of the late James and Rebecca McAllister Sullivan. Until his retirement, he was a millwright mechanic at Rockbestos Wire and Cable. He was veteran of the Second World War, serving in the U.S. Army. Charles was a member of the U.S. Air Force Club, the Meriden - Wallingford Chapter # 6 Disabled American Veterans, and was a life member of V.F.W. Post #9422 in West Haven. He was a communicant of the Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Terrance Sullivan and his wife Patricia and Alexander J. Sullivan both of Wallingford, John Sullivan and his wife Mary Lou of North Haven and James Sullivan and his wife Terry of Meriden; a brother, Alexander Sullivan of FL; a son-in-law, Stanley Bialecki; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Sullivan, Jr. and a daughter, Catherine Bialecki The funeral will leave the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:00 AM for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford, CT. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Wallingford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 8:00 � 9:45 AM.
