Obituary of Roberta DeLeone

Roberta H. DeLeone, 57, of Weston FL and formerly of New Haven, CT, departed this life on May 12, 2009. She was the beloved wife of George DeLeone, an assistant coach of the Miami Dolphins. Roberta was born on January 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Frederick and Anne Boren Hoffman. She graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, CT in 1970 and received her bachelors� from Southern Connecticut State University in 1974. She achieved a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She had been awarded the Syracuse University Athletic Department Courage Award and was the chair of the Central New York Relay for Life. She had also volunteered with the Central New York Make a Wish Foundation. In addition to her husband, Roberta will be sadly missed by her sons Andrew and Mark; her sister Diane; and her brother Gerald. She was predeceased by a brother, Benard. Friends may call on Friday, May 15 from 9:30 � 10:30 am at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S Elm St., Wallingford. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the In Memoriam Cemetery. At Roberta�s request, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
