In Memory of My Favorite Uncle Dennis
Through all the stages of my life, I always knew and felt you cared.
My memories of you are endless- there was so much we shared.
How many more minutes? When will we ever be there?
From Boston to Wallingford, Why cant the car fly by air?
YAY! Theyre coming to visit us in Boston & I dont think I can wait.
Uncle Dennis, Aunt Louise, Dennis, Marilee, Rob, oh please dont be late!
Your smiling eyes, your gentle ways- the corny jokes you shared with me.
(The only ones Ive ever been able to remember.)
That must have been meant to be.
Our conversations and your stories, I really loved just listening to you.
But you were never, ever too busy, to listen to me too.
Cookouts, special occasions, our family gathered together.
Every moment we spent together is etched in my heart forever.
I wish that there had been more time to tell you how much you meant to me
But I have to believe you knew that, because it really was no mystery.
Words will never express how much love I have for you.
While I do shed tears, my thoughts of you, keep me smiling too.
I know that you will watch over us all from heaven up above
And that the world will be a better place because you filled it with so much love.
With Love Always, Laura Louise
