Ella J. Fanning, 93, of Wallingford, departed this life on Friday, February 15, 2008 at MidState Medical Center. Ella was born on March 19, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pierpont) Jacobson. She shared the same birthday as her father and a nephew. Ella worked for many years as a timekeeper and bookkeeper at International Silver Company. She later worked for Revere Corporation. She was an active member of Wallingford's Mizpah Chapter OES, and was a 75 year member of the Wallingford Grange. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wallingford. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Thomas E. Fanning Jr. and his wife Linda of Burlington, and Richard H. Fanning and his wife Amelia of MN, in addition to her sister, Evelyn Lewis of Plantsville. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service celebrating Ella's life will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 10:00AM with Rev. Canon Robert Miner, presiding at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S.
