Wallingford - Janet Gluz, 76, of Wallingford, departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2008 following a brief illness at The Connecticut Hospice. Janet was born November 16, 1931 in Terryville, CT daughter of the late Robert and Emily (Jabs) Haupt. She worked for the Southern Connecticut Library Consortium for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, in Wallingford since 1989. She was active in the church choir, ladies aid, and a past church council member. She will be sadly missed by her son, David Gluz of Naugatuck. She also leaves one brother, Richard Haupt of West Haven, and two sisters, Ruth Tietjen of West Haven, and Edna Brusick, of AL. Janet also leaves her ex-husband, Joseph Gluz of Seymour. Janet is preceded in death by two brothers: Rev. Robert C. Haupt and Eric Haupt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. Interment will be in Hillsdale Cemetery in Terryville.
