As many of you know our fathers road through life was not always an easy one.Our dad's motorcycle accident changed our family's life forever but our dads strength and devotion to us was unfaltering. One of my dads greatest qualities was his ability to love his wife, children and grandchildren.I can still remember the joy my dad had pulling us kids around the yard in his lawnmower cart, fixing many bicycles and supplying us with hammers, nails and wood to build tree forts. When he first saw his grandchildren his smile was ear to ear.Another great qualities of my dads was his strength both mental, and phycical. At the age of 17 he joined the US navy and toured the world. He worked several jobs to build a great home in wallingford, and to ensure that his family had everything that they needed.I've even been told that during his younger years he could bring down the house in any bar fight! It was that strenght that helped him survive his motorcycle accident in 1971...and that same strength he showed until the end of his life this past sunday.I know that right now he's up in heaven fixing one of Gods cars saying"don't worry about me guys I'm all better now".I also want to thank our mom for all the years she cared for our dad and for working so hard to give us a great upbringing.Mom you loved our dad even though it was not always the easy road in life.We love you and well miss you Dad..Thanks Mom... Love Damon & Darby
