WALLINGFORD – Robert G. Wetmore, 55, a longtime Wallingford attorney, departed this life on November 7, 2007 at the MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Leitman) Wetmore. He was born on July 11, 1952 in New Milford, a son of Denise (Gillespie) Wetmore and the late George R. Wetmore. Bob had been active within Masonry, particularly in his work with the Shriners where was Past Potentate of the Pyramid Temple. He served on the Vestry of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Yalesville. He had been a member of the Wallingford Rotary Club, the American Bar Association, the CT Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He served as Chairman of the Sheehan High School Music Parents Assoc., and was a board member with the CT Burns Care Foundation. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his loving daughter, Leslie Wetmore of Wallingford, and his sister, Rosemary Wetmore of Stamford. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be led by the Rev. Peter Quinn of St. John the Evangelist Church on Monday, November 12 at 11:00 am at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S Elm St., Wallingford. There are no calling hours. It is suggested that contributions in his memory be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. , Springfield, MA 01104.
