Carol & family, I'm so sorry to hear of George's passing. Because of my infrequent & short visits to CT at the gathering of cousins, I only knew George briefly. However, I did know him as a kind, sweet, gentle man and I always thought that there was a lot more to him that I wished I had been able to know. After reading his obituary, I realized that I was right and that I really missed out on a lot. What a great man.
Please know that my thoughts and kind wishes are with you at this difficult time.
With Love,
Rhoda

I REMEMBER GEORGE WHEN OUR FAMILY WOULD VISIT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA ROSE IN WALLINGFORD. MY NAME IS MARGE JOHNSON HOGUE. I WAS MARRIED TO DAVID JOHNSON, ALICE JOHNSON'S SON. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE ROSES. I NEVER MET GEORGE'S WIFE AND FAMILY. WE HAD MOVED OUT WEST BY THEN. MY SON RICHARD JOHNSON PROBABLY WAS THE LAST OF MY CHILDREN TO SEE GEORGE SINCE HE LIVED IN CT UNTIL 1985 WHEN HE MOVED WEST ALSO. OUR CONDOLENCES TO GEORGE'S FAMILY.

I used to love to go down to see Doc and George, they helped me with allot of stuff and I helped them also. I remember putting a MGB car together. And I remember Georges' inventions he was a very talented man. Hadn't gotten to see him in awhile other than seeing him sitting outside his house. His suffering has now ended and he Wil be watching over us. RIP George

So very sorry to hear. I will miss seeing him. My condolences to you all.
As I would see him as he got his mail, two of his lines I will always remember-How you doing today George- "Well, I made it this far ", and, I thought it wasn't going to rain today, "These weather people today, couldn't forecast the weather if they were standing in it".
RIP , George.
Bill, the mailman.

Your family has been such an important part of my life for many years, offering me friendship, solace and love through some of the most difficult times I have ever experienced. Never judging, always accepting and providing me with support.
George was an important role model for Steve and provided him with a foundation for the man he is today.
I am deeply saddened by his loss, but will treasure the memories of the man who was an engineer an inventor and the architect of the farm he so loved.
Carol, may you Tracey and Jodi hold happy memories of George and celebrate this special man's life.
May God Bless you,
Judy Young Doering

Jodi and Tracy, I will never forget your wonderful parents! Growing up on Aldon Lane, they were the "emergency phone number" every year at school. Their friendship to my parents and our family is a a constant reminder of the definition of "true friends", Neither distance nor time shall separate.Your dad's memory will be a blessing. Much love to you and Tracy and your mom,
Love Debra (Sullivan) Ohlstein

I used to love coming to your house watching the cows watching your father feed the cows, taking hayrides I love hanging out over there I always thought of your parents as like another set of parents to me or even like an aunt and uncle, I have many fond memories of your father and playing at your house when we were kids I couldn't have asked for any better friends of the family
