Obituary of Joseph J. Wigh
Joseph John Wigh, 65, of Wallingford, Connecticut, passed away on November 21, 2018 in Hartford, Connecticut after a short illness.
Joe was born in Meriden, Connecticut, to Joseph and Emma Wigh on September 2, 1953. He attended Lyman Hall High School and graduated in 1972. He was a laborer at Cyanamid for over 25 years and also worked for BJ’s Wholesale Club before retirement. Joe loved the outdoors, and throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, trapping, and walking in the woods. He also liked to bake sourdough bread and was an animal lover, especially of dogs.
He is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Chamberlain of Guilford, Connecticut, and Karen Dickerson of Lititz, Pennsylvania, married to Richard; nephews, Michael Chamberlain of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Brian Chamberlain of Pipersville, Pennsylvania, married to Tara; Clayton Dickerson of Hellertown, Pennsylvania; and a niece, Olivia Dickerson of Lititz, Pennsylvania. Joe was predeceased by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made to The Shirley Gianotti Animal Shelter, checks payable to Wallingford Animal Control. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
