Obituary of Jamie Ann Giovannini

MERIDEN - Jamie Ann Giovannini, 46, departed this life on March 13, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved fiancée of Allen Carver and devoted mother of Logan Carver of Meriden. Jamie was born in Terre Haute, IN on September 1, 1972 to her parents James Smith and Jeri (Allee) Ashorn. She was the sister of James Smith, Jr.

Jamie grew up in Indiana and in her later years relocated to Texas. After college, she began working for the United States Postal Service and quickly climbed the ranks within the company. Her career took her to Connecticut where she became the Postmaster of the Durham Post Office. Jamie loved her work and took pride in all of the titles she held in life. Perhaps the title she was most proud of was that of 'Mom.' Her son Logan was the love and light of her life. She adored being his mom and created many wonderful memories with him. Jamie was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. She was always there to lend a helping hand and she often put others needs before her own.
