I always texted Sarah on her birthday. She'd send an immediate reply. When there was no reply this year I started looking on line. I was very sadenned to learn that Sarah left us in November. God Rest Your Soul Sarah and may peace be with you forever. You are a great friend.

My son George and I send our condolences to Sarah's son Kyle and his family. We knew Sarah, Charlie and Kyle as wonderful neighbors around the corner when George and Kyle were in strollers. What a marvelous tume that was. We are so sorry that Sarah has passed away too soon.

I very much lament the loss of Sarah, who was a truly lovable person, and whom I saw frequently when she took care of everything important at at Yale Engineering.
When we crossed paths, she used to sing to me the song "Guantanamera", wording it as Juandelamora!

As far back as I am able to remember there was always Sarah Lehmann. We grew up nearby each other in Wallingford. After many years of losing track we reconnected and had a wonderful dinner together in Wallingford a few years back. Sarah was a joy to be with. A wonderful open person who truly cared and connected on many levels. I will treasure the last time we had an opportunity to be together. My thoughts go out to her family. We all are better fo having Sarah in our lives.

A shining light in the lives of all who had the great pleasure of knowing her, and especially the lucky ones who had the honor of being her friend, Sarah will lve on in our hearts forever. She and I had a friendship and kinship for almost 60 years. I shall hold dear the wonderful, fun-filled summers we spent together as teenagers driving in her boat to the Boys' Camp, pretending we were out of gas to get their attention. Sarah had an "impishness" about her that was contageous, and it was a joy to be a part of her life. Sarah dear you will be missed.

Sarah was one of the first friends I made at the First Congregational Church when I was in kindergarten. We were so happy to have reconnected, after a lifetime, on Facebook and at our many gatherings with friends of Wallingford. Was enjoying her vacation postings, then was shocked at the loss of this dear sweet joyful person! Rest in peace, Sarah, til we meet again. My deepest sympathies to all your family ! Like everyone else who knew Sarah, news of her untimely death left me shocked and in disbelief. I interviewed and they welcomed Sarah into Yale's political science department many decades back. Much beyond her super performance as a professional, Sarah was always a much-appreciated and much-admired colleague and friend. She managed to infect those around her not just with a healthy work ethic; the brought just plain fun and joy to the workplace. I know from direct experience that she was much admired and indeed loved by her peers, in the political science department and later in the office of the Yale Provost. My heart goes out to her family, as well as to those many close friends of Sarah's who I know are deeply bereft by Sarah's passing.
I deeply regret that I cannot be in attendance at Sarah's memorial service on Saturday.

Sarah was a wonderful help and guide for me, when she was an administrator at Yale. We worked together for over a decade, and she was always a delight to see and to share ideas and family news with. We will miss her very much.
