Claudia and Paul and families - This morning I was deeply saddened to learn of your mom's passing. But then, as I began to recall childhood experiences, I smiled a bit. Your mom was "The Nurse" for my mom. If I or my brother had a high fever, or rash, or poison ivy or whatever, mom would call Corinne because "she is a nurse." I can't recall the remedies but they must have been right. We kept getting well and your mom kept getting calls. There was one time when your mom was ill and my mom thought I should make a get well card. I guess it worked and when your mom came home she gave it back to my mom. I still have it. Its dated June of 1963. And then there was your mom's garden behind the home. My mom would send me over to get some fresh parsley but only after your mom showed me how to properly pinch the plant so as not to damage it. I still use the Corinne technique and it serves me well. So as I write this I realize I cannot begin to imagine the many many lives she touched as a parent, as a friend, as a neighbor and of course as The Nurse. Good Job Corinne! Rest Well.
