Raymond Edward Williams, 65, of Wallingford, entered God's kingdom on September 17, 2014, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of Maria (Barszcz) Williams. Raymond was born September 3, 1949, in Springfield, MA, son of Evangeline (Bennett) Tannenbaum of Wallingford and the late Edward Williams. Raymond had been a part of the Jaycees and served as a Trustee of Zion Lutheran Church of Wallingford. He was passionate about supporting all of his children's extracurricular activites. He was a dedicated employee of Radio Frequency Systems for 40 years and participated in the company golf league. Raymond also enjoyed fishing, cultivating his bountiful garden, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his wife and mother, he will be dearly missed by his children: Vanessa Williams of Stamford, Derek Williams and his wife Amanda of Middletown, Christopher Williams of the Bronx, his niece Myla McDonald, and an extended loving family. He is preceded in death by his sister Valerie Clark, step-sister Ellen Beswick, and step-father Otto Tannenbaum. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford from 3-6PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. It is suggested that contributions in his memory be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice.
