WALLINGFORD - John Kanaba, 83, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home. He was born in Coal Ridge, OH, February 27, 1930 a son of the late Steve Kanaba, Sr. and Susie Rebar Kanaba. Mr. Kanaba was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a resident of Wallingford since 1963. Until his retirement, he was employed in the Accounts Receivable Department of Arthur Industries. He was a very active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Wallingford. He is survived by his dear friend, Biagio Nastasi of Wallingford, a sister, Susan Jereb, a niece and three nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Steve Kanaba, Jr. and three sisters, Martha and Eleanor Kanaba, and Mary Bundy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31st at 2:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park in Cleveland, OH. Friends may call at the B.C.
