MERIDEN - Timothy E. Hoffmann, of Meriden, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2016 at the Masonic Health Center. Tim was born on April 16, 1953 in Schenectady, NY to Erwin Jr. and Mildred Hoffmann. He was a dedicated teacher of "shop class," known as technology at Amity Regional High School for 25 years. In addition to his father Erwin Hoffmann, Jr., he was preceded in death by his uncle Roy Hoffmann and his aunt Marie Hoffmann the most loving lady he ever knew. He is survived by his perennial mother Mildred E. Hoffmann, an understanding brother Daniel F. Hoffmann, cousin Roy Jr. Hoffmann ("cuz"), his former wife Lynn M. Zeisig, two children; son Douglas Erwin Hoffmann and daughter Stacey Elizabeth Hoffmann and twin grandchildren Liam Timothy and Riley Thomas Hoffmann (his two little "boogers"). Additionally, meaningful mentions of his two kitties; Ike and Lisa. Tim also regretfully leaves his companion, Sunshine Heart, alone with her new family of twins and felines. But she, his former students, friends, family and feline companions all know he will always love them like an endless river, forever and ever. A gathering to commemorate the life and death of Timothy E. Hoffmann will be held on February 22, 2016 from 2-4pm, at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home in Wallingford, CT. Tim would rest comfortably knowing that all pets are welcome but best left at home, and that proper dress is required yet optional.
