To Harold ("Butch") and the Family
So very sorry to read in the Elkhart paper about Sharon. Had lost touch with "The Twins" after we all graduated from EHS back in 1954. From the many lovely notes to the family, it is obvious she was the same kind and caring person I remember also from our days at Trinity Lutheran School--4th to 8th grades in one room with George Woldt for our teacher. Having lost my husband Jack to fungal meningitis last Nov., I can somewhat empathize with the loss you are feeling. It is comforting to know that a place of peace awaits us all. Sending our heartfelt condolences to the Waterman family. We are so saddened for the loss this very special member of your family. John and I were not fortunate enough to get to meet her, but from all we have heard she was definitely one of a kind in all that she accomplished for everybody she knew. What a beautiful lady and her picture exudes so much love coming from her infectious smile.
Thank you Sharon for being there when Kristyn and Ryan needed you most. Kristyn fell in love with you from day one and enjoyed your company very much.
For the Waterman family, cherish those precious memories deep in your hearts as those will always be there for you.

I'm so fortunate and blessed to have had the chance to get to know this wonderful woman. When Ryan and I needed a place to stay, she and Harold kindly took us in. I got to know her that week, as I sat with her every afternoon discussing Hollywood gossip and of course the Real Housewives :) We bonded from those very moments.
Throughout the last few years, I also discovered what wonderful cook she was as well as one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met. We will all miss you so much Sharon. Until I see you again, may you rest in peace.

Sharon touched my heart the first time I met her. A true lady through and through. Always smiling and being kind to everyone. She had a heart full of love and compassion. A special gift from God!
I treasure the many Thanksgiving dinners at Kathy and Harold's home, sharing our thankfulness and blessings with her. Sharon was quite a passionate cook. She loved to cook for people even when she couldn't eat it herself. She brought her homemade cranberry relish that my grandchildren always looked forward to and her dinner rolls were a dream!
One of the last times we spent together was when we went to Essex to browse for some unique items and to celebrate her son, my son in laws Harold's birthday. She took a hold of my arm and off we went ahead of everyone, arm and arm (two young hearted seniors) to the next shop to find more treasures. I enjoyed spending this precious day with her being with family and friends. I will look forward to seeing her again as we walk arm and arm down the street of gold to find more treasures.- Pat Shannon

Grandma was the most incredible person! She was so caring and always was there for me. Ill never forget christmas time at her home, or the amazing smell of the house as she was the best cook I ever knew. She had a heart of gold and was extremely selfless. Ill always remember 4th of july fireworks and going out on halloween with her when I was a kid! Whenever I look at my fiance (kristyns) engagement ring Ill remember her smile as she was the first person to ever see the ring once it was completed. I love the fact that I was blessed to have her as my grandma and I'm so sad that she is gone, but I know she is in a better place. I love you grandma <3
