The heavens are a little brighter today with the additional star of Bettina Rose Ferrel Ott after 98 years of lighting up our earth with her love, humor and kindness to both animals and people.
Our beautiful, gentle and thoughtful mother Bettina passed away peacefully July 2 at Masonicare where she was treated with the greatest possible care, kindness, and dignity at the end of her life.
Mom made everyone around her feel welcome and comfortable so all her life people flocked to her. An awesome cook, she managed to easily serve delicious Christmas dinners in a spotless house while still winning the annual family ping pong tournament and after joining her voice with others in church singing beautiful hymns.
Mom taught us at an early age to have love and respect for every living plant or creature that shared our home or walked into our yard......including dogs, cats, parakeets, fish and turtles.
Mom is greatly missed by all who knew her - especially her family who benefited from her unwavering, unfailing love, care and unconditional support.
