WALLINGFORD - Robert E. Utterberg, 74, of Wallingford and formerly of Rocky Hill, departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Robert was born in Hartford, March 30, 1938, son of the late Everett and Elizabeth (Morris) Utterberg. He was a graduate of Wethersfield High School Class of 1958. Until 1973, he spent much of his career working as a tube straightening machine operator at Fenn's Manufacturing. He was a member of Silas Deane Lodge # 133 AF & AM in Wethersfield. He will sadly missed by his brother, Donald Utterberg and his wife Barbara of Rocky Hill, a niece, Christine Utterberg of Germany and a nephew, Eric Utterberg of Rocky Hill along with his many friends at the Masonic Healthcare Center where he was a resident for 29 years. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. Interment will follow in the Swedish Cemetery in Portland. There are no calling hours. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements.
