With a sad and heavy heart I say to my beloved grandmother, "until we meet again". I am forever thankful for all of the wonderful memories that I hold so dear in my heart; there are so many! You were always so generous, kind, honest and sincere; but also independant and strong. You taught us at a young age "to not judge people", "to mind our own business", and to "never talk behind one's back" ... "sticks and stones may break my bones ~ but names will never hurt me!" There was nothing that we couldn't talk to you about; you were the best listener, and always gave the best advice. You will never know how much it has "all" meant, and how much of what you taught me ~ I now teach my children. You taught us to truly enjoy and appreciate nature ... a sun set, a rainbow, the sound of waves crashing on a beach, the taste of the ocean's salt water or vegetables right off the vine (from your garden). You taught us to listen to the songs that birds sing, and to really watch them in flight. You even made storms interseting as we'd listen to the whispers of the winds. It was you who taught me how to "fix" my Thanksgiving Turkey and your famous stuffing (and every Thanksgiving I'll continue to go through every step as if you're right beside me). Grammy, you were simply the best of the best. I will never forget all of our talks. I loved learning about your days (as a child) on the farm, and I felt honored that it was me who you first spoke to about your brother Joe (you're finally reunited now). I laugh when I think about the World Series the Phillies lost (you know why we watched). I smile when I think of all the Saturday "Pepper Hash" lunches (Daddy's and my favorite). I close my eyes and can see you sitting in the stands cheering me on at my swim meets. I laugh thinking about how we'd duck down and hide the second we'd get into the backseat of your black car. What grandmother (other than you) would embrace the destruction of walls with crayons and markers (by your young grandchildren) and call it a "masterpiece" that no one was to paint over and fix. Our time living with you was more than a blessing; how Mike loved having breakfast with you every single morning before work ... and how lucky Michael, Jocie and Jesse were to have their great-grandmother's loving arms around them on a daily basis. We were so blessed and so lucky. We are forever grateful for everything you've done for us ... all out of the name of love! My memory is long, Gram! I appreciate it all (always have ~ always will)! Now it is your time to reunite with Grampa, Daddy ("your Billy"), Mommy; (and) all of those who have passed on before you (who you love). Enjoy God's kingdom and all its heavenly rewards that you are so very deserving of! Grammy, for your endless love, for your constant, unwaivering devotion and support, and for being the exceptional grandmother (role-model) that you always were ... I say thank you with a very full and very grateful heart! Grammy, Remember when . . . I (WE) LOVE YOU FOREVER! Your grand-daughter, Jessie

We Love and miss you, Balla. I am glad you are no longer in pain and finally at peace with your beloved son and wonderful husband. You were an amazing woman, so easy to accept someone for who they were and never judgemental. You never had a negative thing to say about anyone and you were so supportive of us, always. I remember one of your favorite phrases being..."What of it!" Such a strong woman with a great love of family, nature, poetry, and travel. You were a simple soul with a heart as big as the universe. I loved talking and visiting in your "palor" on your "divan". The potatoe pancakes, milk toast, and your famous pepper hash are still enjoyed and no-one will ever get their silver dollar pancakes as crispy as yours. Our childhood sleepovers were the best. (though Liz would probably like to forget about the Mickey mouse encyclopedia) We have so many wonderful memories and we will cherish them and keep them in our hearts forever. You are the best Gram, ever!! We love you sweet Balla, Jenny and children :)
