Dear Bob! Once a Marine, always a Marine! I worked along side Bob for 14 years at the American Cancer Society's New Bedford office. It was the blizzard of '78 and the weather was getting worse. Would Bob close the office? Oh, no. He laughed that he could walk to his friend's house, which was only around the corner. After much begging, he finally decided to close at 4 pm. I have never been so afraid to get stuck in the huge drifts in my life. Miraculously, I made it home, a drive that usually took 15 minutes took 1 1/2 hours. Poor Ken Camara, a co-worker, spent the night at a stranger's house after his car got stuck in the deep, wet snow.
Seriously, my deepest sympathy go out to his family. I can't believe he is gone. May he live on with your wonderful memories of him.

Missing my Dad is one of the most painful feelings. It is the pride in him both growing up and still growing daily that makes it a bit easier. He was a proud Father, Grandfather, Boyfriend, Marine, Fisherman and always gave all he had to his work. He always spoke highly of his family, friends, fellow Rotarians, and many business acquaintance's over the years of his career. There were many great memories over the years including times with family at the cottage, holidays, long phone conversations, and mostly his support that he gave always. He will be missed by us everyday . We love you Dad!!! Love Donna, Rich and your grandson Nicholas.

I went to St. Anthony High School Class of '59 with Bob. We have been friends for a long time and especially enjoyed ourselves at the planning committee meetings for our reunions. My husband,Russell was in the class of '58, so he also knew Bob.
Please, extend our deepest sympathy to your daughter Muriel and your son Ronald.
Although we have never met Bob's daughter, Donna and her husband, Richard, and his special grandson, Nicholas, we heard a lot about them whenever we were together at gatherings.

To the Doyon Family,
I grew up on Bullard St. across from Muriel, Bob, and Ron. I was only 8 or 9 years old when I first saw a marine in full dress uniform...it was Robert, and I was impressed to no end. Later, in my teen years, I became friends with Ron, whom I frequently saw at Peggie's. So sad to hear of Bob's passing. My wife and I would like to offer the family our deepest condolences and to let you know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

This is such a terrible loss! He will be missed so mich. I know one thing.... .the holidays will NOT be the same without him. I will miss his stories and our discussions about the Yankees/Red Socks,Patriots/Giants and politics. We never had a holiday with a quiet table. We will keep his spirit alive and continue all of his traditions. I will miss calling over his house asking to speak to my mother. We would call her the "princess". I know his entire family will feel a whole in their heart from this loss. Bob will always be in our hearts and memories. I am so sorry!!!

We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing, he will always be remembered by the families and friends he had in Churchill Shores. It will seem strange not to see him this year at the cottage going out for a ride on his boat, something that he loved to do so much.
