Videen was a favorite nursing instructor of mine. I will never forget her telling us the story about telling her son about daddies planting a seed in mommies and that was how babies were started. She then said for a long time he would not drink his fresh squeezed orange juice. When asked why, he replied "I don't want to get one of thos seeds in me." I am always thoughtful about how I explain things to children and have done pediatric nursing since graduation in 1969. She was well loved by her students. She has risen to a higher calling.
