George was a real gentleman, and I was proud to call him a fellow veteran. He was proud of his service in the Coast Guard, even though he sometimes took a "ribbing" for it. I always referred to him as the "honorable" George Hellemann as that was indeed what he was to us. We'll miss his humor and great personalty at our meetings in Madison Post #2096-VFW of the US. "Carry-on George" your duty is done and its time to rest. THANKS for your service !!
